Oklahoma State University continues its annual presentation of the Colby Cassani Endowed Lectureship Series. Students have further championed the cause by renaming their annual "Scrub Run" in part to honor the memory of Colby and Brayden (Colby's Heart recipient).
Colby Foundation Director, Katie Parker, will join Kirby Slifer, DO, medical director, Critical Care Medicine and consultant, Infectious Diseases at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana as well as Stephanie Bagley, RN, quality systems manager for organ recovery at LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma. Speakers will present the personal aspects of organ donation as well as the scientific, medical, legal and logistical issues.
A highlight of this year's event is the presence of Brayden, the heart recipient whose life was saved when Colby's organs were donated by the Cassanis. The Cassanis have shared many years of friendship with Brayden's family and are proud to introduce this amazing young man and his family to OSU!
